Petey, or Pete the Pup, was the dog character in Hal Roach's Our Gang or Little Rascals movies of the 1920s and 1930s. He is fondly remembered for having a circled eye.

The original Petey was an American Pit Bull Terrier named “Pal the Wonder Dog”, after his death the part was played by one of his offspring that was registered as a Staffordshire Terrier.

Pal the Wonder Dog started out as Buster Brown's ‘Tige’ in the 1920s.

The Plague Dogs is an animated feature film (1982), based on a book of the same name by Watership Down author Richard Adams. The story is about two dogs who escape an animal testing facility and are then pursued by both the government and the media.

Pluto Stand Up

Pluto is an animated character from Disney short cartoons is based on the bloodhound breed. In all probablity the name Pluto was settled upon for Mickey's pet dog because of the discovery of a 9th planet, named Pluto, in March of 1931. Pluto had a starring role in shorts from the 1930s-1950s.
